Legos are as popular as ever, and the list of top toys for the 2011 holiday season released by Toys R Us would not be complete without at least one construction set by Lego. For this year, Toys

R Us has included the Ninjago Lightning Dragon Battle by Lego Systems in their “Fabulous 15” list. The Ninjago Lightning Dragon set is the latest in the Lego Ninjago set. Introduced late this year, the set includes the Lightning Dragon, which is Jay's dragon. Jay is the fun-loving Blue Ninja of Lightning. His weapons of choice include the Spear of Lightning and the Nunchucks of Lightning. The set includes a Skeleton helicopter and mini figures of Jay, Sensei Wu, and the skeletons Frakjaw and Kruncha with a green spinner. The set comes with a total of nine weapons,including the Nunchucks of Lightning.

The Storyline
The evil Skeletons Frakjaw and Kruncha have captured Sensei Wu and stolen Jay's Nunchucks of Lightning with their helicopter. Your mission is to help Jay and the Lightning Dragon rescue him and bring back the golden weapon before the Skeletons escape into the Underworld.

The Ninjago Lightning Dragon Review

Several dragons appear in the Ninjago storyline but the Lightning Dragon is the most spectacular one. Like the Fire Dragon and Ice Dragon, it has four wings and chains attached to the head. The chains allow the owner to control the dragon. The Ninjago Lightning Dragon is different from the other dragons in that it has four feet and two hands. Two large spears are mounted on the dragon's wings, and two flags are on the body.

The Lightning Dragon also includes a seat on top for the mini figures to ride in. The set also includes barrels on either side of the dragon that can be used to attack enemies. With the spears mounted on the dragon's wings, two vicious hands and four feet, the Lightning Dragon is a formidable weapon against the Ninja's enemies. Any child that you buy this Lego set for will be very happy.

The Ninjago series of Legos includes many unique and exciting construction sets featuring enormous buildings, fantastic vehicles, and fearsome beasts that mini figures in the set can battle with. It contains pieces that you can build into an enormous monster and includes a vehicle as well.

The Lightning Dragon construction set includes four different mini figures. In addition to the Blue Ninja Jay, it includes Sensei Wu, the White Spinjitzu Master with all elements. Lego fans as well as fans of the Ninjago series say this is one of the best sets in the Ninjago series. Although the helicopter is not very solid, customers say the dragon exceeded their expectations. The set is a lot of fun to build and to play with. If you have a kid (or grownup) who loves to collect Lego sets, the Ninjago Lightning Dragon Battle will make a fine addition to their collection.
